Morocco's U17 football team poses in red and green kits, ready for competition on a lush green pitch.

Morocco drew 1-1 with Algeria in an international friendly on Tuesday, in a game that saw both sides trade periods of control and settle for a share of the result.

Algeria took the lead in the first half after a well-worked move ended with a finish that beat the Moroccan goalkeeper, giving the visitors an advantage going into the break.

Morocco came out with more intent after half-time and pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Their pressure paid off when they pulled level, bringing the match back to 1-1 as the tempo rose.

Both teams made a number of changes as the friendly progressed, but neither side managed to find a winner despite late attempts and a more open final stretch.

The match ended 1-1, with Morocco and Algeria using the fixture to test options and build momentum ahead of their upcoming competitive commitments.
