Arne Slot has insisted he is not worried about losing his job at Liverpool if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.

The Dutchman, who is set to take over at Anfield, was asked directly about the pressure that comes with leading one of Europe’s biggest clubs and the demands for immediate success.

Slot made it clear he does not believe Champions League qualification will be used as a reason to remove him, stressing that he is comfortable with the expectations that come with the role.

He also underlined that his focus is on the work ahead rather than on hypothetical scenarios, as Liverpool prepare for a new era following Jürgen Klopp’s departure.

Slot’s comments come with Liverpool aiming to remain among the Premier League’s elite and continue competing at the highest level in Europe, with Champions League football viewed as a key target.

The 45-year-old is due to begin his reign with the club this summer, and while he acknowledged the scrutiny that follows Liverpool managers, he maintained that he does not expect the club to “sack” him if the team finish outside the top four.
