The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued its disciplinary decision against Samuel Eto’o following what it described as inappropriate behaviour toward Fouzi Lekjaa and CAF president Patrice Motsepe.
CAF’s decision comes after the incident drew wide attention in recent days, with Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation, coming under scrutiny over his conduct.
The ruling confirmed that CAF has taken action in response to the events, and the sanction was delivered under the body’s disciplinary regulations, stressing the need to respect officials and uphold proper conduct within African football.
No further official details were provided on additional measures beyond the penalty announced, as CAF closed the case by confirming the punishment imposed on Eto’o over the misconduct directed at Lekjaa and Motsepe.
