Cameroon head coach has played down concerns that Morocco could receive favourable refereeing in the quarter-finals, insisting his team will focus only on what they can control on the pitch.

Speaking ahead of the knockout clash, the coach said the Indomitable Lions are not thinking about the officiating or any external pressure, and that their attention is on preparation and performance.

He stressed that Cameroon respect Morocco and the progress they have made, but warned that his players are ready for a tough battle and will approach the game with full confidence.

The coach also made it clear that his group will not waste energy on talk of bias, adding that the match should be decided by football, not by debates around the referee.

Cameroon are aiming to book their place in the semi-finals and the coach believes his side have what it takes, provided they stay disciplined and take their chances when they come.
