A former Manchester United striker believes Cristiano Ronaldo is destined for a career in Hollywood once he decides to step away from football, describing the Portuguese icon as a “no-brainer” for blockbuster movies.
The prediction was made by ex-United forward Louis Saha, who feels Ronaldo’s global appeal and larger-than-life personality would translate easily to the big screen. Saha also pointed to Ronaldo’s physique and professionalism as reasons why he could succeed in an acting role.
Ronaldo, 39, continues to play at a high level and remains one of the most recognisable athletes on the planet, having built a brand that stretches far beyond the pitch. His fame, following and commercial power have long placed him in the same conversation as entertainment industry stars.
Saha believes that profile could make the transition straightforward. “He’s a no-brainer,” he said, suggesting Ronaldo would be an obvious choice for film producers looking for a leading man with instant worldwide recognition.
For now, Ronaldo remains focused on his playing career, but the idea of him moving into movies after football is one that continues to gather traction as his influence off the field grows.
