Is it time to worry about Christian Pulisic form at AC Milan

Christian Pulisic’s first season at AC Milan has brought plenty of highs, but his recent dip in form is starting to raise questions as the season moves into its decisive stretch.

Pulisic began the campaign in eye-catching fashion after his summer move, quickly becoming an important part of Milan’s attack with goals, assists and a steady run of starts. His early impact helped him win over supporters and cement a key role in Stefano Pioli’s frontline, often operating off the right but also drifting into central areas.

In recent weeks, though, the production has slowed. The American has found himself less decisive in the final third, with fewer goals and assists arriving compared to the standard he set earlier in the season. His touches in dangerous areas have also become harder to come by as Milan have struggled at times to control games and create clean chances.

That drop-off has not gone unnoticed, especially given how heavily Milan have leaned on him at different points this season. Pulisic has played a lot of minutes, and the physical demand of carrying form across multiple competitions is becoming clearer as Milan fight for results in Serie A and Europe.

There is also the simple reality of expectations. Pulisic’s early burst set a high bar, and when a player starts that well at a club like Milan, every quieter spell becomes a talking point. Opponents have adjusted too, paying closer attention to his movement and closing down the spaces he enjoyed during his best run.

For now, there is no official indication that Milan are concerned long-term, and Pulisic remains a trusted option in Pioli’s squad. But Milan will need him sharp again, and quickly, if they are to end the season the way they want. The question around Pulisic is not about talent or attitude, but whether he can rediscover the edge that made him one of Milan’s most influential players earlier in the campaign.

With the biggest matches still ahead, the next few weeks will likely define how his season is remembered: as a strong debut year that hit a mid-season wall, or one where he found his rhythm again when it mattered most.
