Marc Guehi was caught up in travel drama on his way to complete a Manchester City medical, with his flight forced to abort its landing.
The Crystal Palace defender had been travelling to finalise a £20m move and was due to undergo medical checks before sealing the transfer.
However, the journey did not go to plan when the aircraft was unable to land as scheduled and had to pull out of its approach. The unexpected disruption left Guehi’s plans delayed as he continued his trip to link up with City.
Despite the incident, the deal itself remained on track, with the England centre-back still heading to complete the final steps required for the switch from Selhurst Park.
Guehi’s proposed move has been progressing towards completion, with the medical expected to be the last major hurdle before the transfer is confirmed.
