Morocco booked their place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 after beating Cameroon 2-0 in a decisive quarter-final victory.

The Atlas Lions started with purpose and took control early, pushing Cameroon back and creating the clearer chances in the opening stages.

The breakthrough came in the first half, as Morocco found the net to go in front and set the tone for the rest of the match, with Cameroon struggling to respond under pressure.

After the break, Morocco kept the same rhythm and managed the game well, closing spaces and limiting Cameroon’s threat as they looked to protect their advantage.

Cameroon tried to raise the tempo in search of an equaliser, but Morocco stayed organised and continued to look dangerous on the counter and from set pieces.

Morocco then doubled their lead in the second half to kill the contest, leaving Cameroon with too much to do in the final minutes.

The final whistle confirmed a 2-0 win for Morocco, who move into the AFCON 2025 semi-finals and remain on course for the title.
