Morocco are set to face Ecuador in a friendly as part of their preparations for the World Cup, according to Ecuadorian media.

The same reports said the match is expected to be played in the United States during the next international window, as both sides fine-tune their squads ahead of the tournament.

It would give Walid Regragui’s Atlas Lions a strong test against the “Tri” in the build-up to the finals, while Ecuador continue their own schedule of World Cup warm-up games.

Morocco have been stepping up their preparations in recent months, with the technical staff looking to assess players and settle on the final group before the start of the competition.
