Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has raised doubts over the availability of Sofyan Amrabat for the upcoming friendly against Cameroon, while confirming the return of striker Ayoub El Kaabi and the comeback of young forward Youssef Igamane to the squad.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Regragui explained that Amrabat is still not at 100 per cent, making his participation uncertain. “We will see in the final training session. He is not fully ready,” the coach said, as he stressed that no risks will be taken with the midfielder’s condition.

In the same remarks, Regragui confirmed that Igamane is back after being absent, saying the player has shown positive signs and earned his place again. The coach described the return as an important boost, especially with the staff monitoring the group closely as preparations continue.

Regragui also underlined that the friendly against Cameroon is a key test in the national team’s programme, giving the staff a clear chance to assess the squad, manage workloads, and look at options before the next official dates.

Morocco face Cameroon in what is expected to be a competitive encounter, with Regragui focused on balancing performance and player fitness, while waiting for a final decision on Amrabat’s readiness.
