Reports from inside Nigeria’s camp at the Africa Cup of Nations have claimed that Victor Osimhen left the Super Eagles’ base amid talk of a “revolt” involving the Napoli striker.
The same reports said the issue came during Nigeria’s AFCON preparations, with Osimhen believed to have departed the camp before returning later on.
While the claims spread quickly, no official statement was issued confirming disciplinary action against the player or explaining any internal dispute.
Osimhen remains one of Nigeria’s most important names at the tournament, and the Super Eagles are continuing their AFCON programme as scheduled.
