Yaisle confirms reliance on substitutes until season end
Al-Ahli head coach Matthias Yaisle has made it clear that he will continue to rely on his substitute players for the remainder of the 2026 season. The German manager confirmed this approach following his team’s latest fixture, stressing that every member of the squad must be ready to contribute.
“We will keep using the substitutes until the end of the season,” Yaisle stated in his post-match comments. “This is not a temporary decision. It is a plan we believe in.”
The coach explained that the demanding schedule and the intensity of competition in the Saudi Pro League require full squad rotation. He pointed out that several players who started on the bench have already delivered strong performances when called upon.
“The players who come off the bench have shown great commitment,” Yaisle added. “They understand their role and they execute it well. That gives me confidence to keep this system going.”
