Sudan's Al-Hilal demands match postponement over player case

Sudanese football giants Al-Hilal Club have formally requested the postponement of their upcoming league match against Al-Jeish, citing an ongoing legal case involving one of their players.

The club has officially asked the Sudanese Football Association to delay the match, which is scheduled for next Monday as part of the 27th round of the Sudan Premier League. Al-Hilal’s demand is directly linked to the case of their player, Mohamed Musa, known as “Al-Moussawi.”

In a statement, the club revealed it has received a summons for Musa to appear before a public prosecutor on Sunday, April 28th—the day before the match is set to be played. The club argues that this situation directly impacts their preparations and the player’s availability.

Al-Hilal’s administration has stated that if the Football Association does not respond to their request for a postponement, they will be forced to escalate the matter. The club has explicitly threatened to file a complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to seek intervention.

The development adds significant tension ahead of the crucial fixture. Al-Hilal currently sits at the top of the Sudan Premier League standings, while their opponents, Al-Jeish, are in third place, making the match a pivotal one in the title race.
