A supercomputer has delivered a brutal verdict on Morocco’s chances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, forecasting a complete failure for the Atlas Lions.
The projection, revealed in a detailed analysis, gives Morocco a zero percent chance of winning the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The simulation places the African nation in a lowly 42nd position in the global rankings for the competition.
This stark prediction comes despite Morocco’s historic run to the semi-finals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they became the first African team to achieve that feat. The supercomputer’s model, however, suggests that success will not be repeated in North America.
The analysis places European nations at the forefront of the forecast. France is tipped as the favorite to lift the trophy, with a 15.2% chance of victory. They are closely followed by England (10.1%), while Germany and Spain are also among the leading contenders.
For Morocco, the outlook is decidedly grim. The simulation does not grant them any significant probability of progressing to the latter stages, effectively writing off their campaign before a ball is even kicked.
