Robert Lewandowski has directly addressed the swirling rumors about his future, firmly stating his intention to stay at FC Barcelona.
The speculation began after a report from the Catalan radio station RAC1 on Monday, May 13, 2024, claimed the Polish striker could leave the club this summer. The report suggested Barcelona would be open to offers for the 35-year-old to alleviate financial pressures.
However, Lewandowski moved quickly to shut down the talk. Speaking to reporters after Barcelona’s 2-0 La Liga win over Real Sociedad on Monday night, he was clear about his plans. “My intention is to stay at Barcelona. I am not thinking about leaving. I want to fight for more success here, and I feel I still have a lot to give,” the veteran forward stated.
He further emphasized his commitment, adding, “I want to help the team and the club return to the path of winning the most important titles. I am focused on that goal.”
Lewandowski joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 and has been a key figure since his arrival. His current contract with the Catalan giants runs until June 2026.
This public denial from the player himself provides a strong rebuttal to the exit rumors and confirms his immediate future lies at the Camp Nou as Barcelona builds for the next season.
