Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has applauded Morocco for what he described as “high-standard” infrastructure ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), saying the facilities and overall readiness reflect a level of organization capable of delivering a top-tier continental tournament.

Speaking about Morocco’s preparations, Hassan highlighted the quality of stadiums, training centers, and supporting logistics, noting that the North African country has invested heavily in creating an environment that benefits teams, supporters, and media alike.

“Morocco is doing great work,” Hassan said, pointing to what he characterized as strong planning and modern facilities. He added that such standards help raise the profile of African football and contribute to better performances on the pitch.

The Egypt coach also stressed that hosting a successful AFCON requires more than match venues, citing the importance of accommodation, transportation, and training infrastructure. In his view, Morocco’s development in these areas positions it well to stage a tournament that meets international expectations.

Hassan’s comments come as national teams begin to closely monitor host-country arrangements, from pitch conditions to travel schedules, as part of their preparations for the competition. Egypt, one of Africa’s most decorated sides, is expected to approach the tournament with high ambitions.

Morocco has increasingly drawn recognition for its football ecosystem in recent years, buoyed by improved domestic facilities and major international events hosted across the country. Observers say that continued investment has strengthened Morocco’s reputation as a leading sporting destination on the continent.

As anticipation builds for AFCON, Hassan underlined that strong infrastructure can have a direct impact on the quality of the tournament, calling it an essential factor in ensuring fair competition and an enjoyable experience for audiences.
