Ruben Amorim has insisted Manchester United are doing enough in attack despite growing criticism from supporters who feel his side are playing too cautiously.
After questions were raised about United’s approach in the final third, Amorim made a firm defence of his team’s attacking output and rejected the idea that they are set up to play safe. The United boss stressed that his players are creating chances and said the numbers back up his view.
“We create a lot!” Amorim said, pushing back against the complaints from fans and the suggestion that his team lack ambition going forward.
Amorim’s comments come with United still under pressure to turn possession and territory into more consistent goals, but he maintained that the work is there and that the group are building the right habits in the attacking phase.
He also pointed to the balance he wants from his side, making it clear he will not sacrifice structure just to chase a more open style. Amorim’s message was that United can be controlled and still be a threat, and he believes the criticism does not match what he is seeing from the touchline.
With scrutiny remaining high, Amorim reiterated that the focus is on improving the quality of the final action rather than ripping up the plan, as he continues to defend his players and the direction of the team.
