Morocco head coach Walid Regragui admitted his side did not perform at their real level, but believes the difficulties they faced will help the team improve in the coming matches.

Speaking after the game, Regragui said: “We were not at our true level, but the difficulty will make us better in the next matches.”

The coach pointed out that the match was not easy, explaining that the team struggled at times to find its rhythm and create the right solutions on the pitch, despite trying to control the play and manage the contest.

Regragui stressed that such games are important for building a stronger group, especially when the opponent makes life difficult and forces the team to work hard in every duel and every phase of play.

He also underlined that the national team will take the positives and learn from the weaknesses, insisting that overcoming tough moments is part of the process as Morocco prepare for what is coming next.

Regragui concluded by saying the staff will keep working to raise the overall level, as the team looks to deliver improved performances in the upcoming fixtures.
