Celtic have dismissed head coach Wilfried Nancy after the Bhoys recorded the worst win percentage in the club’s history.
The decision was confirmed by the club as Nancy’s short spell in charge came to an end following a run of results that left Celtic well short of accepted standards. The record under Nancy stands as the lowest win rate ever posted by a Celtic manager.
Celtic also confirmed an additional major change as part of the same announcement, underlining the scale of the club’s response to a difficult period on and off the pitch.
Nancy’s departure brings a swift close to a tenure that never gained the momentum required at a club where trophies and consistent performance are expected. Despite moments of promise, results failed to improve and the historic statistic ultimately proved decisive.
The Bhoys will now move to put a new structure in place, with the club’s next steps set to follow after confirmation of the managerial change and the additional adjustment revealed alongside it.
