Walid Regragui hits back after accusations

Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has responded firmly to the accusations aimed at him in recent days, insisting the claims are “gewoon sterker” and have gone too far.

Regragui made it clear he will not let the criticism distract him from his work with the national team. He stressed that he remains focused on Morocco’s objectives and on building a strong squad for the challenges ahead.

In his reaction, the coach also revealed that he has been targeted by a wave of accusations that, in his view, are becoming more intense and personal. He said the tone around the debate has shifted and that the discussion is no longer only about football.

Regragui did not hide his frustration, but he chose to address the situation directly rather than escalate it. He underlined that he is accountable for results and performances, yet expects a fair assessment of his decisions.

The Morocco coach added that he will continue to work in the same way, with the same standards, and that he trusts his group to respond on the pitch. For Regragui, the answer must come through unity and hard work, not through noise away from the team.
