Mostafa Mohamed vows Egypt will steal AFCON trophy

Egypt striker Mostafa Mohamed has sent a bold message ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, insisting his side will “steal” the trophy and describing the national team as “La Casa de Papel”.

Speaking about Egypt’s ambitions, the forward said the squad is going to the tournament with one clear target. “We are ‘La Casa de Papel’ and we will steal the Africa Cup,” Mostafa Mohamed said, using the famous TV series as a way to underline Egypt’s determination to take the title.

The 26-year-old stressed that Egypt’s players are focused on delivering for the fans and bringing the trophy back, pointing to the team’s belief that they can go all the way.
