The Egyptian Football Association has responded to questions over whether Hossam Hassan will remain in charge of the national team through the 2026 World Cup.
In a statement, the EFA stressed that Hossam Hassan is the current head coach of Egypt and that he continues in his role as normal.
The association added that no decision has been taken to change the technical staff at this stage, rejecting the reports that suggested the coach’s future had already been decided.
The EFA also called on fans and media to rely only on official announcements when it comes to matters linked to the national team, especially during key periods of preparation and competition.
