Al Hilal and Al Khuloud set for King’s Cup final date
The Saudi Football Federation has officially confirmed the date for the King’s Cup final between Al Hilal and Al Khuloud. The showpiece event will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
The announcement ends weeks of speculation over the scheduling of the season’s most anticipated domestic cup final. Both clubs now have a clear target as they prepare for the decisive clash.
Al Hilal, the record 11-time winners of the competition, enter the final as heavy favourites. They booked their place after a commanding semi-final victory over Al Ittihad, winning 3-1 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Al Khuloud, meanwhile, caused the upset of the tournament by defeating Al Nassr 2-1 in the other semi-final on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. That result, secured at the Al Khuloud Club Stadium in Al Majma’ah, sent their fans into raptures and set up a first-ever King’s Cup final appearance for the club.
The final will be a single-match decider. If the scores are level after 90 minutes, extra time and then a penalty shootout will be used to determine the winner.
Al Hilal will be chasing a 12th King’s Cup crown to extend their own record. Al Khuloud are aiming for a historic first major trophy in their history.
Kick-off is scheduled for 9:00 PM Mecca time. The match will be broadcast live on SSC channels.
