Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has hinted he knows who was responsible for leaking the “Lego and clapping” story that angered supporters, insisting he is aware of where the claim came from.

Rosenior was asked about the tale that circulated among fans and on social media, and he made clear he believes he has identified the source. “I know where that came from!” he said, suggesting the story did not appear by accident.

The reference relates to an anecdote that claimed Rosenior used a “Lego” comparison and asked for “clapping” in an attempt to make a point to his players, with the episode later being portrayed as one of the reasons frustration grew among sections of the fanbase.

While Rosenior did not name anyone publicly, his comments indicated he feels the account was deliberately pushed out and that he knows the route it took into the public domain.

The Chelsea head coach also stressed that he remains focused on his work with the squad, despite the noise around the club and the reaction the leaked story created among supporters.
