Kimmich: Everyone who saw Paris game believes we can reach final

Joshua Kimmich has insisted that everyone who watched Bayern Munich’s performance against Paris Saint-Germain now believes the German giants can reach the Champions League final.

The Bayern midfielder spoke with confidence after his side’s commanding display in the first leg of their knockout tie. Kimmich stated that the team’s level against the French champions proved they have what it takes to go all the way in the competition this season.

“Everyone who saw the match against Paris believes in our ability to reach the final,” Kimmich said. “We showed our quality and our mentality on that pitch. That is the standard we must maintain.”

Bayern dominated large spells of the game and created several clear chances. The result has put them in a strong position heading into the return leg. Kimmich stressed that the squad is fully focused on the objective and will not let the opportunity slip.

The German international also highlighted the team’s defensive solidity and attacking threat as key factors. He believes that if Bayern repeat that level of performance, they can beat any opponent standing in their way.

“We have the squad, the coach, and the belief,” Kimmich added. “Now we have to prove it on the pitch in the next games. The road is still long, but we are ready.”

Bayern Munich will now look to secure their place in the next round and continue their push towards the final in 2026.
