Barcelona have moved to calm speculation about Marc-André ter Stegen’s future, insisting the goalkeeper has made it clear he is not looking to leave the club this summer.

Recent weeks have brought fresh noise around the Germany international, with several reports linking him to a possible move as Barça prepare for another busy transfer window. The club’s financial situation, along with the need to reshape the squad, has also fuelled talk that even senior players could be considered if strong offers arrive.

However, Barcelona say the message from ter Stegen has been straightforward. Speaking about the situation, the club confirmed the 32-year-old has personally communicated his plan to stay, shutting down suggestions that he has asked to be sold or is pushing for a new challenge elsewhere.

Ter Stegen remains one of the most established figures in the dressing room and has long been viewed as a key part of the team’s leadership group. He is also under contract and, by all indications, sees his immediate future at the Spotify Camp Nou project as the club continues to rebuild on and off the pitch.

Barcelona’s stance is that there is no active process to move him on, despite the constant churn of transfer rumours surrounding top players. The club are expected to look at ways to balance the books again this summer, but ter Stegen does not appear to be part of any planned exits.

For now, the goalkeeper’s position seems secure, with Barcelona making it clear they are working under the assumption he will remain their first-choice option heading into next season.
