Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa has submitted an urgent request to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), calling for immediate action on a refereeing issue linked to Moroccan clubs in continental competition.
Lekjaa’s move comes after strong reactions in Morocco to decisions made during a recent match involving a Moroccan representative in CAF tournaments, with officials insisting that the incidents had a direct impact on the game.
In his message to CAF, Lekjaa asked for a clear and swift response, stressing the need to protect fairness and improve refereeing standards across African competitions.
The Moroccan side also pushed for a firm stance to avoid similar cases in the future, underlining the importance of accountability and consistent use of officiating tools in key matches.
The request has now been formally placed on CAF’s desk, with Moroccan football authorities awaiting the next step from the continent’s governing body.
