RSB Berkane midfielder Mohsen Metwaly has suffered a serious injury that will require surgery, dealing a major blow to Renaissance Zemamra.
Metwaly was injured during his team’s match against Renaissance Zemamra on Sunday in the 19th round of Morocco’s Botola Pro.
He was forced to leave the pitch in the 49th minute, unable to continue, and was later taken for medical checks.
Tests confirmed that Metwaly suffered a fracture in his hand, and he will undergo surgery in the coming hours.
The injury comes as a shock for Renaissance Zemamra, with the player set to miss the next period of the season.
