Ivan Toney has sent a clear message to Thomas Tuchel as he looks to force his way back into England contention, insisting he is “hungry” to represent his country again.
The Al-Ahli striker believes he can add an edge to the Three Lions ahead of the 2026 World Cup and has outlined the qualities he feels he would bring to the squad.
Speaking about his ambition, Toney said: “I’m hungry.” He made it clear he wants to be involved with England and feels his game can help at the highest level.
Toney also pointed to what he offers as a forward, highlighting his all-round contribution and the impact he can make when given an opportunity in an England shirt.
Tuchel is now the man with the final say as England build towards the next World Cup, with Toney aiming to put himself firmly in the conversation through his performances for Al-Ahli and by reminding the new manager of what he can deliver.
