Nabil Baha rejects Syria coach offer, stays in Morocco

Nabil Baha has turned down an approach to become head coach of Syria, choosing instead to continue his work in Morocco.

The former Morocco international, who has been building his coaching career in Moroccan football, was recently sounded out about taking over the Syrian national team. However, Baha decided not to pursue the offer.

Those close to the situation say his preference was clear: he wants to remain in Morocco, where he feels settled and focused on his current projects. The proposal from Syria did not change that position.

The revelation that Baha was in the running for the Syria job has drawn attention because of his growing reputation as a coach. For now, though, he is not looking to make the move abroad.

Baha’s decision means Syria will continue their search for a new coach, while he stays on in Morocco to push forward with the next step of his work there.
