Alan Shearer slams pathetic West Ham after 3-0 Wolves loss

Alan Shearer has labelled West Ham “pathetic” after their 3-0 defeat to Wolves, describing the performance as “shocking” as pressure increases on head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

West Ham were second best from the start and were punished by a Wolves side that looked sharper and more organised throughout. The visitors found space too easily and repeatedly exposed West Ham’s lack of control, with the home crowd growing increasingly frustrated as the match went on.

Wolves made their superiority count with three goals, leaving West Ham with a heavy home loss and another damaging result in their season. The defeat has also left Nuno Espirito Santo on the brink, with his position under intense scrutiny after another flat showing.

Speaking after the game, Shearer did not hold back in his assessment of what he saw from the Hammers. “West Ham were pathetic,” he said, as he tore into a display he called “shocking”.

The criticism centred on West Ham’s lack of intensity and poor defending, with Wolves able to play through them far too easily. Shearer also made clear that results like this only add to the pressure on the manager, with West Ham now facing serious questions after a limp defeat in front of their own supporters.

With the mood around the club deteriorating, West Ham now need a response quickly to ease the growing tension and halt the slide, while Wolves will take confidence from a convincing 3-0 win.
