Amorim says Sesko must improve as Hojlund blanks at Leeds

Manchester United's striker in a red kit celebrates passionately, while a player in a white kit from a Serie A team cheers in a contrasting backdrop.

Ruben Amorim admitted Benjamin Sesko “needs to improve in the last moments” after Manchester United’s £74m striker again failed to score in a goalless draw at Leeds.

United were held to a 0-0 result, with Rasmus Hojlund unable to find the net once more as Amorim continued to assess his attacking options during the contest.

Speaking after the match, Amorim compared Sesko’s style to Hojlund’s and insisted there is still work to do for the forward when it comes to making the most of key situations in the final third.

“Completely different to Rasmus Hojlund,” Amorim said, before adding that Sesko “needs to improve in the last moments.”

The United boss’ comments were the clearest indication yet of what he wants from his strikers, with the Leeds game again exposing the fine margins in front of goal as the side came away without a winner.
