Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy said he hopes the Africa Cup of Nations ends with a final between Egypt and Morocco, as both sides continue their push in the tournament.
Speaking about Egypt’s chances, Sobhy stressed the national team has the experience and history to handle big occasions, and that the country is counting on the players to keep going in the competition.
He also underlined that Morocco have shown strong levels and deserve to be among the leading contenders, adding that an Egypt–Morocco showdown would be a special finale for Arab and African football.
Sobhy’s comments came as the knockout rounds take shape, with Egypt and Morocco still aiming to reach the last stage and fight for the title.
