The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the key reason behind the success of the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco, describing the tournament as a benchmark edition on and off the pitch.

CAF explained that the main “secret” was the strong coordination and daily cooperation between all parties involved, led by the Moroccan Football Federation and the local organizing committee, alongside CAF’s teams and service providers.

The African body pointed out that this close work helped the organizers handle every detail, from preparation to matchday operations, ensuring smooth stadium management, transport, accommodation, and media coverage throughout the competition.

CAF also praised the infrastructure and the readiness of the venues, noting that the arrangements in Morocco created the right environment for teams and fans, and allowed the tournament to run in an organized and professional way.

The statement added that the edition in Morocco reflected CAF’s wider push to raise standards in its major events, stressing that the model of cooperation seen during the tournament will be used as a reference for future competitions.
