Cameroon FA president Samuel Eto’o said he hopes Morocco go on to win the Africa Cup of Nations after the Atlas Lions knocked Cameroon out of the tournament.
Reacting after the defeat, Eto’o praised Morocco’s performance and admitted they deserved to go through, while urging them to keep the same level in the remaining rounds.
“I hope Morocco win the Africa Cup of Nations,” Eto’o said, sending a message of support to Walid Regragui’s side following Cameroon’s exit.
Morocco’s victory ended Cameroon’s campaign and moved the North Africans one step closer to the trophy, as they now look ahead to the next stage with confidence.
