Mohamed Salah is closing in on an unprecedented record in the Africa Cup of Nations, as he continues to add to his goal involvements for Egypt at the tournament.
The Liverpool forward has been directly involved in 12 goals in AFCON so far, after scoring six times and providing six assists across his appearances in the competition.
That total places Salah on the verge of becoming the first player to reach 13 goal contributions in the Africa Cup of Nations, a mark no one has previously achieved.
Salah’s numbers have come through a combination of decisive finishing and key final passes, with his influence growing in major matches for Egypt during AFCON campaigns.
As Egypt continue their journey in the tournament, Salah now needs just one more goal or assist to move alone into a new piece of AFCON history.
