Petr Cech returns to football in Baller League UK

Petr Cech has made a surprise return to football after linking up with fellow Chelsea legend John Terry in the Baller League UK.

The 43-year-old, who enjoyed a trophy-laden career at Stamford Bridge and later played for Arsenal, has come out of retirement for the new six-a-side competition. Cech appeared for Terry’s side as the former Chelsea captain continues his involvement in the project.

However, the night did not go entirely to plan for the ex-goalkeeper. Cech was left red-faced after conceding what was described as a possible “goal of the season” contender, as the ball beat him in spectacular fashion during the match.

The moment quickly became one of the standout clips of the early Baller League UK action, with Cech’s return and his reunion with Terry drawing plenty of attention.

The latest appearance also adds to Cech’s unexpected post-playing career moves, with the former Czech Republic international still able to attract headlines long after his top-level playing days.
