Sadio Mane was given a hero’s welcome by Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr team-mates as he returned to the club after helping Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations.
Mane was back with Al-Nassr following international duty, having played his part in a successful AFCON campaign that ended with Senegal lifting the trophy. The forward rejoined the squad to prepare for the club’s next fixtures, with spirits high after his achievements on the continental stage.
A video shared from inside the camp showed Ronaldo and others greeting Mane warmly on his arrival. The Senegal star was congratulated in front of the group, with the celebrations including a special cake laid on to mark the occasion.
Al-Nassr’s players made it clear how much Mane’s triumph meant, surrounding him and applauding as he stepped back into the dressing-room environment. With his return now confirmed, Mane is set to refocus on domestic and continental goals with the Riyadh side alongside Ronaldo and the rest of the squad.
