RS Berkane have refused to release their head coach, Moïne Chaabani, to take charge of the Tunisia national team, despite recent reports linking him with the role.
The Moroccan club’s position comes as the Tunisian Football Federation continues looking for a new coach, following the departure of Faouzi Benzarti.
Chaabani’s name had been raised among the candidates, especially after his work with RS Berkane this season, but the club has made it clear they are not willing to allow him to leave at this stage.
The decision reflects Berkane’s desire to keep stability on the bench, with the team still competing on multiple fronts and entering a decisive period of the campaign.
As a result, Tunisia will have to continue their search for a new manager, with Chaabani no longer an available option due to Berkane’s refusal.
