Ruben Amorim has been criticised by the Portuguese media following Manchester United’s decision to sack him, with reports accusing the coach of showing “excessive rigidity” during his time at Old Trafford.
Amorim’s spell in charge is being picked apart in his homeland after what had been described as a “dream” move to the Premier League ended in disappointment, with one assessment claiming that the Old Trafford opportunity “became a nightmare”.
However, the same coverage has also pointed the finger at United, arguing the club’s lack of “strategy” played a major role in how the situation unfolded.
