Wrexham players are required to sign a special “Welcome to Wrexham” contract when they join the club under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The clause is part of a wider arrangement linked to the hit documentary series, which has followed Wrexham’s revival since the Hollywood duo took over at the Racecourse Ground. It means new signings must agree to be filmed and to feature as part of the production.
The requirement has been revealed as a standard part of joining the Red Dragons in the Reynolds and McElhenney era, with the documentary continuing to document life on and off the pitch in North Wales.
“Welcome to Wrexham” has helped shine a global spotlight on the club, attracting new supporters and increasing attention on players and staff. The added contract ensures the series has access to tell those stories as Wrexham push on with their ambitions.
