Denis rules out return to coach Al Hilal

Former Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus has firmly closed the door on a return to the Saudi club, despite recent speculation linking him with a sensational comeback.

The Portuguese coach, who led Al Hilal to the AFC Champions League title in 2019, was asked about the possibility of returning to Riyadh. His response was definitive. “My story with Al Hilal has ended,” Jesus stated, putting an end to rumors of a second stint.

However, Jesus left the door slightly ajar for a future move within Saudi Arabian football. When questioned about coaching another team in the Saudi Pro League, he adopted a more ambiguous stance. “Regarding the Saudi league, I do not rule out the possibility of returning to work there in the future,” he said, without specifying any potential destination.

Jesus is currently under contract with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, a deal that runs until the summer of 2026. His immediate focus remains on his project in Istanbul, where he is tasked with returning the club to the pinnacle of Turkish football and making an impact in European competitions.

The veteran manager enjoyed a highly successful period with Al Hilal between 2018 and 2019. During his tenure, he secured the Saudi Super Cup and, most notably, guided the team to their third AFC Champions League crown, cementing his legacy at the club.
