Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has insisted he is not bothered by the online jokes made at his expense, revealing that even his own children have laughed at memes comparing him to characters from The Inbetweeners and David Brent.
Rosenior said the mockery has been impossible to miss in the age of social media, but stressed it has not affected him as he focuses on his job and the demands of managing at a club like Chelsea.
The 40-year-old admitted the jokes have found their way into his home as well, with his children among those who have seen the posts and found them funny. Despite that, Rosenior made it clear he is comfortable with the situation and has no interest in being drawn into online noise.
He explained that he understands how quickly opinions spread on the internet and that public figures are easy targets, but maintained he is thick-skinned and determined not to let it distract him from his work with the squad.
Rosenior’s comments come as he continues to settle into life at Stamford Bridge, with the Chelsea boss under the usual spotlight that follows every appointment at the club.
