Haaland rejects fatigue excuse and outlines ways to improve

Erling Haaland, wearing Manchester City's sky-blue kit, covering his mouth with one hand, shows intense focus during a match.

Erling Haaland has insisted he will not use fatigue as an excuse for his recent struggles in front of goal, with the Manchester City striker saying tiredness is “in the head” as he opened up on what he needs to do better.

The City hitman has faced questions about his form after a run where chances have not been taken as cleanly as usual, but he made it clear he is not looking to blame the schedule or the demands of the season.

“Fatigue is in the head,” Haaland said, rejecting the idea that tiredness should be used to explain dips in performance.

Instead, the Norway international pointed to areas he feels can be improved, stressing that the focus must stay on his own standards and on sharpening the details that separate good spells from great ones.

Haaland outlined the need to be cleaner and more decisive in key moments, making clear he is looking at his own game rather than searching for reasons outside his control.

The striker’s comments come as City continue to chase their targets across competitions, with Haaland determined to respond by improving his finishing and overall contribution rather than leaning on any excuse.
