Jawad El Yamiq experienced a night to remember – and to forget – as Real Zaragoza drew 2-2 away at CD Eldense. The Moroccan defender was involved in almost everything: he scored, then put through his own net, and later received a red card.

Zaragoza started well and took the lead in the 16th minute. El Yamiq rose to meet a corner and powered a header past the goalkeeper to make it 0-1.

But the match swung before the break. Eldense drew level in the 44th minute, helped by an unfortunate moment from El Yamiq, whose touch ended up as an own goal for 1-1.

After the interval both teams continued to push for a winner, and the goals kept coming. Zaragoza went ahead again, but Eldense responded to bring the score back to 2-2.

The drama was not over. El Yamiq’s difficult evening took another turn when he was shown a red card, leaving Zaragoza to finish the match with ten men.

In the end, the points were shared in a chaotic contest that El Yamiq will not soon forget.
