Royal Army issued a strongly worded statement following crowd trouble involving Al Ahly supporters, stressing that the incidents witnessed around the match were unacceptable and had nothing to do with the spirit of football.

The club said it had closely followed what happened on the stands and in the surrounding areas, pointing to acts of disorder that led to tension and disrupted the normal running of events.

In its statement, Royal Army underlined its rejection of any violence or vandalism, calling for respect of public safety and for sporting occasions to remain a space for fair support and mutual respect between fans.

The Rabat side also urged the relevant authorities and organisers to take the necessary measures and apply the law against those responsible, so that such scenes are not repeated in upcoming fixtures.

Royal Army concluded by reaffirming its commitment to the values of sportsmanship, and appealed to supporters of all teams to act responsibly and protect the image of football.
