Bruno Fernandes could be edging closer to the Manchester United exit door after renewed interest from Saudi Arabia, while Barcelona winger Raphinha is again the subject of a huge offer as the summer market starts to heat up.

Fernandes has been one of United’s most important players since arriving from Sporting CP in 2020, often carrying the team creatively even through difficult spells. But with United facing another rebuild and pressure to balance the books, the idea of a blockbuster sale is no longer being dismissed out of hand.

Reports suggest Al-Hilal are prepared to go big to tempt both the club and the player. United would be looking at a fee in the region of £80 million, a figure that would set a new club record sale. The midfielder is also said to have been presented with a contract proposal worth around £200 million over three years, a deal that would dramatically increase his earnings and place him among the highest-paid players in the world.

At 30, Fernandes still has time left at the top level in Europe, and his leadership role at Old Trafford remains significant. However, United’s failure to consistently challenge for major trophies has fueled speculation about whether he might be open to a new chapter. Any decision would likely hinge on United’s stance and on how strongly Fernandes feels about leaving a club where he has been captain and a central figure.

Elsewhere, Barcelona are bracing themselves for another major approach for Raphinha. The Brazil international has enjoyed a strong season and has become a key piece in Barça’s attack, offering pace, direct running and end product from the right side.

Saudi club Al-Ittihad are reportedly readying an offer of around €100 million to try to prise him away. That sort of money would be difficult for Barcelona to ignore given their ongoing financial constraints, even if the coaching staff would prefer to keep a player who has grown in importance.

Raphinha, who previously played in the Premier League with Leeds United, is under contract at the Camp Nou and has not publicly pushed for a move. Still, the size of the proposal expected could test Barcelona’s resolve, especially if it arrives early in the window and gives them time to reinvest.

With Saudi Pro League clubs once again targeting established names from Europe, both situations are shaping up as stories to watch closely in the weeks ahead.
