Algerian commentator Hafid Derradji has launched a strong attack after Algeria’s exit, insisting the team was effectively “blocked” from reaching the semi-finals.
Derradji’s comments came in the aftermath of the game that ended Algeria’s hopes, as he questioned key decisions and the way the match was handled at crucial moments.
In his reaction, Derradji said Algeria were “mamnou’a” from going through to the last four, a claim that quickly sparked debate among supporters, with many pointing to the same incidents he highlighted.
The well-known broadcaster argued that Algeria’s route was closed off by what he described as unfair treatment, stressing that the team did enough on the pitch to stay in the competition.
His remarks have added fresh heat to the discussion around refereeing and match management, with Algeria’s exit continuing to dominate conversation among fans and media.
