Héctor Herrera is heading back to Houston Dynamo, returning to MLS after a title-winning spell in Liga MX.
The club confirmed the move as they bring back a player who previously wore the armband in Houston and became a key figure in the middle of the pitch.
Herrera is rejoining the Dynamo after winning silverware in Mexico, adding another honour to a career that has spanned both sides of the border. His return gives Houston added experience and leadership as they look to build momentum this season.
In a statement released with the announcement, the Dynamo described Herrera as a “respected leader on and off the field,” underlining the impact he made during his first stint at the club.
Herrera’s return also reveals the clear intention from Houston to lean on proven leaders, with the midfielder set to strengthen the group on matchdays and in the dressing room.
