Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan said several teams at the Africa Cup of Nations copied the playing style Egypt used, stressing that his side’s approach has become a model on the continent.
Speaking in comments carried by media reports, Hassan pointed to how Egypt’s performances and tactical identity stood out, adding that more than one national team tried to apply the same ideas during AFCON.
Hassan also underlined that Egypt aim to keep building on their identity, insisting the team must stay focused on its own path rather than being distracted by outside comparisons.
He made it clear that the goal is to develop the squad and keep improving results, while maintaining the same competitive mentality Egypt are known for.
